"NYT?s David Brooks Says Bin Laden Sounds Like a Lefty Blogger" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-08 02:09:49

You better put down your drinks and alter sure there's nothing in your mouths for the New York Times's David Brooks made a comment on Friday's News Hour that is guaranteed to evoke uncontrollable fits of laughter from those on the alter side of the aisle. *****Updates at end of post include similar opinions from conservative bloggers as well as a video of a CNN correspondent saying roughly the same thing and a response from the Kos Kidz. After introducing regular guests Brooks and Mark Shields host Jim Lehrer asked their opinions concerning the just-released Osama bin remove video. Brooks was second up with this absolutely marvelous observation (final warning to put down your drinks. ): No ludicrous. I mean on one transfer he's a malevolent guy who killed 3,000 Americans. But you read this thing and it's like he's been sitting around reading lefty blogs and he's one of these childish people posting rants at the bottom the summon you experience. Noam Chomsky and all this stuff. You can't back up read it and not express emotion at it occasionally because it is just absurd. It's flying this way and that way weird conspiracy theories and mortgages global warming. He throws it all in there. The one thing that leapt out -- and Bruce Hoffman and the others mentioned this -- was how Western it is. And a friend of mine. Reuel Gerecht points out that there's this argument that Western ideas never permeated into the Arab world but in fact it's all -- I mean a lot of the beat ideas from the West have permeated in and he's picked up Noam Chomsky and he's picked up some of the anti-globalization stuff. And that's what infuses this. *****Update III: CNN correspondent: "At times he comes off like an angry blogger chastising Americans for electing President Bush twice and the Democrats for not doing more to stop the Iraq war." . *****Update IV: Charles Johnson finds a : "And of cover this simple obvious observation about bin Laden’s video (with its references to weird conspiracies. JFK. Marxism and Noam Chomsky desire just about any lefty blog) has provoked seething from the Kos Kidz: ." I'm just waiting for him to start calling for impeachment. I'm sure it is coming. And after that the Dems will rally around their own calls for impeachment. Isn't it odd how all of the Presidential candidates on the left sound exactly like Osama Bin Laden? He berated us for re-electing him and allowing him to stay in office. I said yesterday he sounded like he got the DNC talking points memo. Those guys should really be proud of themselves. You have to query if they aren't just a little embarrassed at hearing their own words come out of his communicate. I desire someone would ask ANY of the democrat Presidential candidates about it. (starting to direct breath now...) It's not too far off. UBL the Dems and MSM all want this little terrorism thing to just go away as a vehicle to deal a breathe out to the oh-so-terrible Republicans. UBL. Dems or the MSM don't care about saving lives or the troops themselves they want to compel the Republicans to win in '08 and the beat way to go about these days in their mind is to continuously inform all of us the American lives lost (but not Islamic extremists) and generally expected wartime costs. UBL. Dems and the MSM be to convince the be of the country that the toll on America will change state too much. Didn't the US alone lose 400k during WWII? Nobody seems to undergo a problem with that. So far we've lost about 1/100th of men on the same fight against another group of one-worlders. Taking a be at the war by itself what's really changed from WWII to now? Here we undergo another group of populate disillusioned and someone comes promising them a role in shaping the fantastic movement to act over the world. People join up instruct their children and inform them to hate. Pretty soon the political struggle ends and the military leaders just express the soldiers who to kill. "Boats are safe in the harbor but that's not what they're made for." -- Maritime quote I didn't even think study CONSERVATIVES had the guts to compare OBL to the Dems much less these lefty "journalists" Anyone get the idea that the Left might be carrying this "the enemy of my enemy" thing just a bit too far? Idea for a thesis proposal at an far Left university humanities department:  Keith Olbermann and the "Intellectual" Belt-bomb. Bini and Nam and Rummy. Indeed he's [Bini Laden] reading left wing material - perhaps Doonsbury. Last year in an interview. Gary Trudeau assigned the Vietman War to Richard Nixon including the US military deaths the millions of Vietnamese killed in promoting his laughable view that President Bush was the beat since. LBJ was what a mirage? My favorite part of the Bini speech is where he puts Rumsfeld in the WH in charge of the Vietnam War killing 2 milllion villagers and then he has Kennedy coming into cater seeing the wrong and in his effort to end it he gets knocked off by Rumsfeld and Cheney's friends the corportations. The question is: ordain the media just let it lie on the table - this absurd re-write of history? How many young populate around the world ordain choose it up and remember history the way that Bini does? Or will the media jump all over him like an idiot and set the record straight; that it was LBJ not Rumsfeld who put over 800,000 US troops into Nam. JFK was before LBJ and Nixon brought the troops home. Imagine how if Bini had laid Iraq at the feet of Clinton's Sec of Defense, William Cohen how the MSM would have reacted. Fortunately. I'd finished my coffee when I read it last night - but the red wine is going to be hard to get out. Blonde. naw. I didn't forget MacNamara. Amazing how JFK went to corporate America to get the Sec of State. Hmm but the media and now bad Bini boy only associate all that is bad in the world with corporate America and with conservatives -- but there is no such connection to JFK or to Clinton and his pals at Enron.  Yeaaach~ This gets translated in the lib object to " there is no war on terrorism because terrorism doesn't exist " and - "Osama is one of us " and - " he can't fight the evil furnish regime any better than we can" and- " this proves Iraq is not a war on terror ". One SHOULD note his admission that he was behind 911. The libbies and lefty kookballs are praying to mother earth noone points it out. This innocence of yours is like my innocence of the blood of your sons on the 11th - were I to claim such a thing come up you're wrong again binny boy. We aren't the government directly- we choose them - so our guilt is removed from the troops sent. But YOU are the government by which the 911 mission moved- you are the elected - YOU IGNORANT JACKASS. A.    the guy is dead and the words and context undergo been written by someone who although they were born and raised in the middle east reads liberal blogs and is trying to spout the "party lie" just like the old man would have done it but can't keep the westernisms out. B.    OBL is not dead but hiding in an area of western influenced civilization and is slowly being affected by the local vernacular and ideation. When the evil alliance between the jihadists and the American left becomes so obvious that a NYT writer admits to it it's time for the front runners in the dem handle to say. "Oh crap…" Let's review: Brooks said that Osama Bin Laden sounds like he's been reading LEFTY blogs. Therefore the American left and a mass-murdering terrorist are saying the same things which suggests the American left and a mass-murdering terrorist ".. which suggests the American left and a mass-murdering terrorist want the same things." You could not have put it more succinctly. If the last century is any indication leftism is the only ideology that more fervently wishes (and imposes) death on it's opponents than Islam. "Whoever changed his Islamic religion then kill him." -Muhammad Why are we assuming that Oh' Sama (if said by a lefty his name should be pronounced with a throaty yearning and a noticable break between the syllables) is spouting democrat talking points rather than the other way around? We have concrete evidence that the ChiComs had (have) a strong affect on the democrat party, (Hsu) is it too big a stretch to accept that Nancy and Harry or Oh' Bama (see above) and Shrillery act their marching orders from Dr. Evil (sorry Albert) the left's hero?

"Liberal/Lefty/Progressive Blogs that might help a small non-profit ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-07-07 08:07:45

The social justice non-profit I bring home the bacon for is currently participating in a oppose run by Six Degrees. Basically if we are one of the six non-profits that undergo the largest unique number of on-line donations (given to our organization through a specific link) we'll get grant that doubles the money we raised up to $10,000. (In other words we need to have the most givers not raise the most cash.) Can you suggest any socially progressive/liberal/lefty blogs (along the lines of DailyKos or ) with decent readerships that might be willing to plug our group and help us gather donations? The oppose ends on Sunday at 11:59 pm and although we've pushed hard via emails etc with our own contacts and member base (we're currently in the top ten) we need to grow our reach quickly if we're going to end up in the top six posted by to (4 comments total) why are you limiting this solicitation to "socially progressive/liberal/lefty" blogs? philanthropists don't fall neatly into your categories i voted for kerry and support gay marriage i'm also a strict colorblind meritocrat who owns several guns why don't you go away by telling us exactly what your social justice non-profit does?posted by at on September 12. 2007

"Thank you Speaker Pelosi..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:50:48

We are witness to plenty of lefty discontent with the express of affairs in the Democratically controlled Congress particularly regarding the seeming lack of spines when facing drink President furnish. So I think it is allot to give a little ascribe when Congressional leadership stands up to the President. For that cerebrate let me use my pipsqueak express from this obscure little blog (which has been the platform for several previous attacks on "spineless" Congressional Democrats in the past object you) to give Speaker Pelosi some appraise. When Congressional leadership met with President Bush and he pronounced that he was going to intend some redeployment of troops from Iraq. Speaker Pelosi cut him off with the following quote: “No you’re not. Mr. President you’re just going back to the presurge aim.”come up done Nancy. I can only imagine how awkward that must undergo felt but Speaker Pelosi deserves a round of applause from the lefty choir for standing up and making sure the President wasn't going to get away with spouting his typical factually challenged obfuscations while there were grown ups in the room. It's really too bad that the Speaker could not stand next to the President at tonights speech and occassionally cut him off to give a rebuttal in real time.

"Results certified..Nathan Amaral nails the 18th spot" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-28 16:09:20

So the results are finally official. WSAR is reporting that the certified results have Nathan Amaral as the 18th place finisher and will go on as a candidate for the City Council in the general election. Michael Canuel has publicly stated that he ordain not desire a inform for him the race trail has ended. For me there is still the question of why there was so much confusion and so much mishandling of the situation. I be answers and explanations of what happened and what was done. I be assurances that the certified results are correct. I am personally so disappointed in how this has been handled that I would desire to urge candidates for mayor city council and educate committee to request a recount because as of alter no I undergo more doubts than faith. Mr Canuel on WSAR stated that he wouldn't request a recount so to not put the city through the annoy and expense and I appreciate the sentiment. However. I truly accept that despite the annoy and depreciate that a inform is needed because we be assurances that the Elections Office got it right. We be to demand proof that the system works. Finally I'd desire to commend Nathan Amara and Michael Canuel for how they handled what must undergo been a very difficult situation. Once upon a measure. I lived across the river and and gazed at the shores and allowed myself to see nothing but the blemishes to accept nothing but the contradict but since then. I have go to like the hidden and not so hidden charms of this city. There was a time when I worked in Rhode Island and would continue domiciliate at the end of the day and sight myself crossing over the Braga connect at twilight the darkening sky the setting sun behind me bathing the the skyline ahead of me in its fading lighten. The twinkling of street lights and and a panorama of a city on hill capped with chimneys and steeples and it was then that I realized just how beautiful this city was that I lived in this city I call home.
